Indonesian women are now better educated. Thus, they don't wish to serve husband the way those in the past did. They are mostly fully aware of their duty and right.

Many westeners in the past married to Indonesian women simply because they would treat husband differently from western women.

How Indonesians Prepare a Wedding

Indonesia consists of many ethnics: Javanese, Sundanese, Minang, Balinese, Batak, etc. Each has its own method of preparation. But, there is one similarity: wedding is sacred.

They carefully prepare the wedding. The choice of wedding dress, the agenda, the place, etc.

The list of invitation is definitely long. As they disapprove man and women to live together before marriage, they see a wedding as an announcement that the couple now have the right to live in the same house. They will at least invite 100 of people. But, many invite more than that, even up to 3,000 invitations or so.

Wedding is mostly big. So, the budget won't be SMALL. Some people even prepare a saving for their children's wedding.
